Tina’s Cake to Celebrate…

The kids buried her in black balloons.. and I made here a black flower balloon bouquet.

All in all it was a great time….

Jake is participating in First Lego League this year ( FLL is a lego robotics competition )
His team has been doing pretty good for their first year. Here is a video of one of the challenges they solved last week.

The goal is to knock the blue ball off it’s base and then pick up the other 2 objects.

Syd got a bike for Christmas and here is a video of the final ride of her first day of lessons

This year we went on an overnight camp out with #1

Our garden is doing well this year here are some pictures of it from last week….

Jacob did his science fair experiment this year on pulleys and got 3rd place, way to go Jacob!!!

Our seeds are coming up.

and our tomatoes, broccoli and lettuce from the nursery are doing good. I think covering them each night has helped them against the frost.

This week brought plants sprouting, and we planted some tomatoes from the local nursery, to try and get a jump on them before the hot weather comes.

First spinach is sprouting... Yeah...

plants are like ideas, sometimes when they are in the infancy we need to keep them covered so the cold winds and frost of the world doesn’t kill them off before they take root and grow into fruit.
